What You Will Do The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving food in accordance with established recipes, food safety standards, and customer service expectations. This entry level role supports daily kitchen operations while maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and a positive guest experience. Prepare and portion food items according to approved recipes and menu guidelines. Assist with basic food preparation including chopping, cooking, and plating, and assist with inventory rotation, stocking, and proper food storage. Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in all kitchen and service areas, including cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and workstations. Provide courteous and professional service to guests and coworkers. Maintain compliance with all safety, health, and company standards and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain Arizona Food Handler’s Card/Certification within 1 month of employment
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in the operation of a personal computer to include Microsoft applications
  • Responsible for total guest experience and satisfaction
  • Multitasking in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment required
  • Ability to interact positively with the public essential to success
  • Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
  • Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.
  • Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Practical experience as a Line Cook or completion of a post-secondary Culinary Arts training program or two (2) years of experience in food preparation
