About The Position

Aime Leon Dore is looking for an experienced Merchandise Planner to join our team in New York. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Planning team, contributing to the development and execution of sales, margin, and inventory plans across multiple categories and channels, with a shared focus on optimizing revenue, profitability, and inventory efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, intellectually curious, and a strong cross-functional collaborator. They bring a proven ability to leverage data and support the evolving needs of a fast-growing business. Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with planning systems are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Merchandising
  • 4-5 years of Merchandise Planning experience in DTC environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets and Data Visualization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Collaborative, proactive, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Knowledgeable of the brand’s heritage and market position

Responsibilities

  • Lead in-season business reporting, translating complex data from multiple sources into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership; continuously evaluating and improving relevance, and efficiency
  • Own the end-to-end allocation process and strategy across all channels, developing and executing allocation frameworks that optimize inventory, support sales goals, and respond dynamically to in-season trends
  • Strategically oversee Never Out of Stock and carryover programs, managing inventory health across all channels with a focus on responding to opportunities while maximizing sell-through.
  • Own size-level analytics across categories and channels by developing and maintaining size curves; audit and refine seasonally based on sell-through trends and business shifts
  • Drive in-season reorder strategy owning the process from analysis through PO execution to ensure on-time delivery
  • Drive the pre-season class planning process, partnering with Merchandising to develop class-level financial targets and receipt plans that align with overall seasonal goals
  • Take a pro-active role in establishing and refining planning best practices, owning the development of tools, templates, and processes that drive consistency and scalability
  • Build and manage strong cross-functional relationships with Merchandising, Design, Production, and Digital partners, serving as a strategic planning resource and ensuring alignment throughout the product lifecycle
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and business questions with a high degree of analytical rigor, contributing expertise to time-sensitive initiatives across the planning team
