About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Merchandising Assistant to join our dynamic team at a large Asian grocery retail corporation. As a Merchandising Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the merchandising department in optimizing product placement, managing inventory, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Your efforts will contribute to the overall success and growth of our business in the competitive grocery market.

Requirements

An Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Strong attention to detail skills with a keen eye for visual presentation and product placement.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced retail environment and work well under pressure.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Mandarin is preferred.
Familiarity with Seafood products, cultural preferences, and market trends is a plus.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly and professionally to incoming phone calls and emails from vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Assist in revising and managing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, and timely processing.
Follow up on backorders, claims, and contracts to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address any merchandising-related issues and provide necessary support.
Collaborate with the merchandising team to update product information, pricing, and promotions on various platforms.
Perform general administrative tasks to support the merchandising department's day-to-day operations.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
