JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES This position is part of POET Bioproducts – the POET business responsible for the marketing and logistics for our suite of distillers grains and distillers corn oil products. It is our role at POET Bioproducts to market and transport, as efficiently as possible, our high-quality products from our bio-processing facilities to our valued customers who happen to be located all over the globe. We use trucks, trains, barges, containers and ocean vessels to make this happen. As a Merchandising Specialist it will be your role to effectively manage a portfolio by representing the value of POET distillers grains and develop strong customer relationships that are built on trust. Not an expert on animal feed? Don’t worry. This is an on-site role located in Sioux Falls, SD.

Responsibilities

• Promote and represent the value of POET Distillers products.
• Maintain a high level of customer service.
• Communicate with customers to gain an understanding of their needs and expectations.
• Understand activities at the bioprocessing facilities to manage inventory and quality.
• Provide portfolio support for regional Merchandising Teams.
• Write sales contracts.
• Research feed nutritional information.
• Work with trucking companies to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
• Enter and process transportation instructions for our freight partners.
• Resolve customer discrepancies when necessary.
