Position Summary This is a key role with the Merchandising team. The person in this role is expected to be able to input large amounts of data into database both accurately and efficiently. The successful efforts of the individual in this role have a positive impact on partners downstream of his/her efforts. Those partners include individuals working in: Stores, marketing/eCommerce, Accounting, Vendor partners. This will ultimately contribute to growing sales and margin growth for the category and the company.

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 1-2 years in data entry or related experience.
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills, knowledge of Microsoft office and Outlook, Excel.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, able to prioritize & multitask.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Communication: Strong listening and interpersonal skills. Must possess good verbal, written and visual communication skills. You must feel comfortable communicating through phone calls and emails as well as speaking in front of groups.
  • Organizational: Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize and multitask
  • Analytical: Must have a strong ability to analyze data for decision making.
  • Computer: Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Strong EXCEL skills are needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a retail store environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Merchant and Associate Merchant with assortments, pricing strategies, product allocation, fulfillment orders, and build/maintain strong relationships with our vendor partners.
  • Must obtain and maintain general business knowledge in the Men’s Golf Apparel categories to make informed purchasing and marketing decisions.
  • Perform data entry of information into our system for the following: o Item setup for each new product. o Order entry with accuracy and timeliness. o Loading UPC’s for new and existing products. o Review and input replenishment purchase orders for existing products. o Transmitting and following up with venders on PO’s. o Maintain and manage category details, including but not limited to: item set up, opening orders, price changes, UPC data, and EDI. o Run designated vendor reports, selling, etc. for Merchant. Prepare reports for store visits/branching. o Assist Merchant in accuracy of terms/discounts, pricing, and ticketing during order processing. o Assist promotional strategies and vendor management in all product areas.
  • Responsible for accuracy, efficiency and retrieval of processed data.
  • Work within the deadlines with or without supervision.
  • Effectively resolve issues related to vendors, stores, and customers with partnership of Merchant and Associate Merchant.
  • Assist in procuring samples for Advertising/Marketing/Best Seller Meetings.
  • Create category signage for stores.
  • Respond to Store Tickets with timely, accurate, and actionable responses. Partner with Call Center tickets to resolve quickly.
