The Merchant Coordinator supports the end-to-end product lifecycle by managing vendor communication, driving cost negotiations, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure the successful execution of seasonal assortments. This role is critical in achieving margin goals, maintaining accurate data, and ensuring product readiness from concept through production handoff, in partnership with the Merchant. Serves as the primary cross-functional resource for all costing- and financial-related communication, ensuring partners have accurate, up-to-date information on costs, lead times, vendor solutions, and financial updates. Manages day-to-day follow-ups, timelines, and information flow to ensure smooth progress throughout product development. Builds strong vendor relationships to support problem-solving, speed-to-market, and overall product excellence. Leads all vendor cost negotiations, maintaining a clear understanding of margin requirements and identifying cost-saving opportunities, including alternative materials or construction solutions that support AUC targets without compromising quality or design intent. Partners closely with Design, Product Development, and Merchandising to support product execution from initial concept through final development. Owns all projections, costing inputs, and pricing information within WFX, and collaborates with Merchandising, Planning, and Operations to ensure data supports forecasting, pricing strategy, and business decisions. Manages seasonal development calendar deadlines related to costing and tracks product status, proactively flagging risks or delays. Tracks and maintains fabric MOQs by factory, works with factories to determine MOQs for new styles, and provides Merchant(s) with confirmed MOQs prior to projections. Identifies opportunities to improve workflow efficiency between vendors and internal partners (Design, Product Development, Merchandising). Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Design, Fashion, or related degree
  • Generally, 2+ years of planning or merchandising experience
  • Advanced computer skills, Excel and Word
