Position Summary The Merchant – Shapewear & Swim leads category merchandising strategy for two of SKIMS’ most technical and high-growth businesses. This role is responsible for building performance-driven assortments that balance innovation, fit solutions, and commercial impact while ensuring category leadership in both core and seasonal product launches.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years merchandising or product experience (intimates, swim, or technical apparel preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and assortment planning skills
  • Ability to translate consumer insight into product strategy
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth retail environments

Responsibilities

  • Own assortment architecture across shapewear and swim categories
  • Partner with Design and Technical teams to ensure product solutions meet performance expectations and commercial viability
  • Identify white-space opportunities for innovation and category expansion
  • Track weekly sales performance and KPI trends across channels
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Forecast monthly demand for new launches and carryover styles
  • Recommend pricing strategies aligned to competitive landscape and brand positioning
  • Guide product investment decisions based on data, consumer insights, and trend forecasting
  • Support go-to-market strategy and ensure successful product launches across Retail, Ecommerce, and Wholesale
  • Lead seasonal product knowledge presentations for internal teams
  • Maintain deep understanding of target customer needs, fit expectations, and performance priorities
  • Monitor competitive brands within shapewear, intimates, and swim markets
  • Support junior team members and foster strong cross-functional partnerships
  • Drive continuous improvement across merchandising processes and systems
