Who we’re looking for The BEV Feature Development lead will play a key technical role in the implementation, configuration, and support of Siemens OpCenter as part of our Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) program for a new automotive battery plant. This position will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and optimizing OpCenter Discrete modules to support manufacturing, quality, logistics, and production control processes. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Siemens OpCenter and an understanding of high-volume manufacturing environments. What you’ll be doing Solution Design & Configuration Configure and customize Siemens OpCenter Discrete modules to meet business and manufacturing requirements. Develop user interfaces, workflows, and data models within OpCenter. Integrate OpCenter with ERP, PLC, SCADA, and other plant floor systems. Technical Implementation Develop scripts, APIs, and data connectors for system integration. Work closely with business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical solutions. Conduct unit and system testing of OpCenter functionality. Support & Optimization Troubleshoot MES-related production issues and implement fixes or optimizations. Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements. Provide tier-3 technical support during production ramp-up and ongoing operations. Collaboration & Documentation Work with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and logistics to ensure system alignment with operational goals. Document configurations, development changes, and integration mappings. Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. What you bring Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience implementing or supporting Siemens OpCenter MES (Discrete preferred). Experience with MES-to-ERP and MES-to-PLC integrations. Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, C#, Python), and API integration. Understanding of manufacturing workflows and quality processes. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Added bonus if you have Experience in automotive or battery manufacturing. Knowledge of Siemens OpCenter Foundation, Quality, or Logistics modules. Familiarity with Mendix low-code application development. Experience working in hybrid agile/waterfall environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Clear communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Leadership abilities to guide testing teams in a high-pressure plant launch environment. Requirements
