About The Position

We’re excited to bring on qualified SIC pilots to join our Metro team. This role plays a critical part in our cargo operation and is best suited for individuals who are dependable, adaptable, and take pride in being part of a hardworking, safety-focused team. You’ll gain valuable real-world experience in a fast-paced, on-demand environment with a strong operational focus. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to respond to an on-demand schedule, including frequent overnight callouts, weekends, and holidays. Requirements

  • Commercial Pilot License with multi-engine land and instrument rating
  • Current Instrument Proficiency Check
  • English Proficient (ICAO LEVEL 4)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • FAA Medical: First Class
  • FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit
  • Current Passport (passport cards are not accepted)
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Must be able to lift up to 125 lbs., climb ladders, and maneuver around aircraft
  • Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screening and other required background checks
  • Ability to obtain an airport SIDA badge
  • Willingness and ability to relocate to assigned base and travel extensively
  • Ability to work various shifts, overtime, and/or after-hour call outs
  • 800 hours TT
  • 250 hours PIC
  • 75 hours ME
  • 40 hours Turbine
  • iPad required when reporting for duty
  • Must relocate to El Paso Texas base

Nice To Haves

  • Part 135 experience
  • familiarity with company aircraft
  • previous cargo experience highly preferable

Responsibilities

  • Must have professional communications skills for complex internal and external aircraft communications
  • Assist with loading and unloading freight
  • Operate aircraft in accordance with all applicable regulations and program/company policies and procedures
  • Emphasize flight crew members safety and exemplary customer service
  • Must note and communicate aircraft deficiencies for maintenance review and correction
  • Perform flights during day, night, and weather conditions
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned
