Advanced Atomization Technologies (AA TECH) is a joint venture between Parker Aerospace and GE Aviation, created to produce and support advanced fuel nozzles and related products for current and future commercial engine platforms, including aerospace and aero-derivative engines. The highly skilled and experienced team of AA TECH employees is expert in design, assembly, testing, and aftermarket support, providing our customers with a world-class product and support experience. The Metrology Engineer uses a variety of contact and non-contact measurement gages and equipment to calibrate gages traceable to NIST and to measure production hardware for compliance. Additionally, the Metrology Engineer will be involved in Engineering studies for process improvements, investigations and proves validations. This activity is accomplished via the use of conventional Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), multi sensor CMM, Vision Systems, Trace and Form Machines as well as various handheld gages such as micrometers, test indicators, go/ no-go gages, etc. as well as Six Sigma Tools to achieve desired results. The Metrology Technician will be responsible for some and/or a combination of the key responsibilities below.
