About The Position

The Metrology Inspection Process Engineer is responsible for converting inspection data into actionable process enhancements. This position requires a thorough understanding of processes and collaboration across various departments, focusing on improving the quality of defect signals, optimizing signal-to-noise ratios, and ensuring the use of high-quality materials in production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or other relevant fields) with minimum 4 years of industry experience.
  • Master’s (Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Optics or other relevant fields) with minimum 2 years of industry experience
  • Doctor's (Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Optics or other relevant fields)
  • All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor require you to be onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality defect signal for process optimization and excursion reduction.
  • Leverage process knowledge to fine tune inspection sensitivity, maximizing the signal to noise ratio.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to supply data that boosts device yield, reliability, and performance.
  • Identify in line gaps proactively and strengthen inline detection to keep poor materials from escaping the fab.
  • Seamlessly switch between manufacturing and development environments to safeguard existing business while capturing new demand
