Full-Time, Non-tenured Faculty Location: Remote The key principles of this job are to: 1. Support ACU’s Mission: Educate students for Christian service and leadership throughout the world. 2. Support ACU’s Strategic Plan. Scope: Reports to the Dean of the College of Health and Human Services. Basic Responsibilities: A. Serve on the MFTO faculty and in administrative roles on behalf of the program. B. Maintain oversight of Internship Curriculum. C. Assist with maintenance of programmatic accreditation. D. Chair program clinical supervisor meetings. E. Create internship remediation plans. F. Supervise Clinical Coordinator. G. Engage in an ongoing research agenda and/or maintain clinical competency and supervision certification. H. Work collaboratively with the Senior Program Director, Senior Associate Program Director, Associate Program Director, and key stakeholders from other operational units. Essential Duties: A. Serve on the MFTO faculty and in administrative roles on behalf of the program. 1. Teach 18 credit hours, in Internship, each academic year. 2. Provide rich and timely feedback on student work, being both encouraging and constructively critical. 3. Facilitate synchronous Internship class size of up to 8 students. 4. Provide timely and helpful answers to students’ inquiries regarding course material or academic matters. 5. Grade course activities in a timely manner. 6. Enter final grades in the Banner system. 7. Engage in andragogically sound teaching methods designed for an adult learner. 8. Comply with all pertinent policies and procedures outlined in Abilene Christian University’s Handbook, Faculty Handbook, and those specified by ACU’s College of Health and Human Services and the MFTO Program. 9. Serve on various committees for the College of Health and Human Services and the University as directed by the Senior Program Director. B. Maintain oversight of Internship curriculum. 1. Aggregate and analyze Internship outcomes assessment data according to the University and programmatic accreditation schedule. 2. Aggregate and analyze student and graduate achievement data for Internship according to the program’s assessment schedule. 3. Review state licensing requirements and annually update program- and student- facing materials. 4. Work collaboratively with Instructional Design on all curriculum updates. 5. Work collaboratively with Clinical Operations on student and clinical software matters. C. Assist with maintenance of programmatic accreditation. 1. Maintain knowledge of COAMFTE accreditation standards and processes. 2. Assist Senior Program Director, Senior Associate Program Director, and Associate Program Director in maintaining compliance with standards and in application/recertification, audits, and accreditation visits. 3. Create and maintain a supervisor handbook. 4. Maintain current program clinical supervisor credentials. 5. Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Program Director. D. Chair program clinical supervisor meetings. 1. Determine schedule of program clinical supervisor meetings in accordance with accreditation requirements. 2. Lead meetings and implement changes to the curriculum in collaboration with program leadership. 3. Maintain collaborative relationships with site and program clinical supervisors. E. Create Internship remediation plans. 1. Work collaboratively with the Associate Program Director for Student Affairs and other operational departments on student remediation plans. F. Supervise Clinical Coordinator. 1. Meet regularly with Clinical Coordinator and determine progress on key functions of that position. 2. Engage in risk assessment of Internship site, supervisor, or student matters and elevate to program leadership as needed. G. Engage in an ongoing research agenda and/or maintain clinical competency and supervision certification. 1. Develop and maintain an ongoing research agenda in the context of the scholarship of teaching and learning. 2. Gain and maintain knowledge of trends and information pertaining to the program field through current practice, professional reading, active research and/or continuing education. 3. Participate in clinical and/or scholarly activities designed to maintain credentialing in the field of marriage and family therapy. H. Work collaboratively with the Senior Program Director, Senior Associate Program Director, Associate Program Director, and key stakeholders from other operational units. 1. Maintain regular communication with program leadership. 2. Attend program leadership meetings. 3. Participate in operational meetings with key stakeholders. 4. Implement strategic goals and objectives for program management.
