About The Position

The Chemistry Radwaste and Environmental Manager is responsible for the daily operation of Hope Creek Chemistry Operations, Radwaste and Environmental aspects, including project, plan, & execute plant chemistry actions necessary to support long term asset protection under steady state and transient plant conditions.

Requirements

BS or BA in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related science and minimum 10 years experience in Chemistry, of which 1 year shall be in radiochemistry, is required.
A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in an operating nuclear power plant is also required.
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Meet and maintain Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted plant access.
A valid Real ID or an approved form of alternate documentation (https://www.pseg.com/IDrequirement) is required for this job.

Responsibilities

Supervision of first line supervisors and represented employees
Administering Chemistry, and environmental programs
Ensuring compliance with State & Federal requirements
Evaluation of work flow and processes to increase performance and efficiency
Interfacing with Station Work Management/Planning in the planning & scheduling of chemistry-related activities
Performing self-assessment and corrective action/root cause evaluations.
Ensure work activities meet and exceed the requirements and standards established in 10CFR20, related Regulatory Guides, and INPO Good Practices Guidelines
Managing the industrial relations of the group, including performance management
