About The Position

MHE MECHANIC $25-$35, DOE SCHEDULE: Tuesday - Saturday: 9am-5:30pm POSITION SUMMARY: Experience with Crown / Raymond / Toyota/ Turrets forklift and pallet jacks (operating and repairing) Experience with equipment chargers, pallet jacks, rider jacks, turrets, sky jacks Repairs and replace major system components, including electrical parts, hydraulic, mechanical, L.P Repairs electrical equipment, control circuits, electrical switches Operates a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility system Performs general maintenance including basic electric, electric motor/pump swaps and general PM Develops plans, specifications, and work schedules with contractors Identifies equipment obsolescence risks Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs mixing, extrusion and coating equipment Performs other miscellaneous duties/projects as assigned by supervisor Completes monitors building management system and assists in diagnose and necessary repairs Requires mechanical, hydraulic, electrical repairs Requires understanding of 12v,24v,36v,80v systems Requires understanding of AC/ DC motors, system Work in cold/ hot environment. Work outdoors and inside freezer. Temps from –10 degrees to 100 degrees Knowledge in loc-out tag-out Reports to lead/ supervisor Must complete work orders parts inventory and parts requests Must adhere to company policies like attendance point system Capable of maintaining entire operation with minimal supervision Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Coordinator or Manager, the Technician is responsible for inspecting the facility and perform any repairs necessary Must be proficient in completing all required paperwork as work orders needed to perform all job requirements Able to repair, or replace major system components, including circuit boards and other electrical parts, plumbing, lightning, drywall, etc. Perform daily inspections to identify areas the need attention Perform proper PM's in a timely manner Be able to use all special tools properly Maintain and properly use the normal tools of the trade Assist with training/mentoring apprentice mechanics through on-the-job training Follows all safety procedures in performing work as well as company policies Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills Properly identify and order all necessary replacement parts Maintain complete repair order records Ensure a safe work environment Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity Ability to learn and follow Distribution Center paperwork policies and procedures encompassing Purchase Orders, Parts Requisitions and Inventory and Maintenance Orders Most work is performed under typical warehouse conditions Associates work in departments which may range in temperature from -5° F to 80° F. In cases of temperature outside the norm, Personal Protective Equipment is provided 8am start time, but training hours may differ

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a MHE or in a similar industrial maintenance role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical wiring, motors, drones, pullies
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, power tools, and maintenance software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical education beyond high school, such as an associate degree or apprenticeship
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Manual dexterity and physical strength
