Cuyamaca College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Microbiology Professor to join our dynamic Biology Department. This position is responsible for teaching paramedical microbiology and supporting student pathways in Allied Health and Life Sciences while fostering an inclusive, equity focused learning environment. The successful candidate will teach paramedical microbiology as well as other introductory or major-level classes, with enthusiasm and a commitment to inclusive, student-centered pedagogy. We seek an educator to participate in curriculum development and program improvement, including the integration of culturally relevant and equity minded approaches that support engagement, persistence and achievement. This role will directly impact students’ success and transferability to a university as well as their access to high-demand careers in health and life sciences. Interested candidates should also be passionate about participating in departmental and college-wide initiatives aimed at improving access and success for all students. This includes developing work-based learning opportunities that inspire students to choose diverse career pathways in Allied Health and STEM.
