About The Position

As a Microsoft (MS) Solutions Engineer, you will engage directly with internal customers, IT, and business partners, providing day-to-day comprehensive support of Microsoft solutions from initial request to fulfillment and resolution. The MS Solutions Engineer is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, integrations, user adoption, and continuous improvement of SAFE’s overall Microsoft enterprise productivity and collaboration solutions.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree and one year of related experience; or undergraduate degree and two years of related experience; or four or more years of related experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 enterprise productivity and collaboration solutions and common third-party application integrations.
  • Excellent organization, customer service, relationship management, self-motivation, planning, interpersonal, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to manage workload across many projects.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Commitment to meet or exceed individual and team SLAs and KPIs.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening skills, and empathy).
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to internal customers, including end user training and support.
  • Accurately document all work performed through a ticketing system, including details and outcomes.
  • Oversee requirements gathering, consulting, project planning, design, build, and testing of new and existing Microsoft solutions to meet business needs that support overall business strategies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely resolution of all assigned issues; escalate product bugs or unresolvable cases if necessary; notice trends and report recurring problems.
  • Monitor, configure, maintain, integrate, and drive user adoption of the following Microsoft solutions: Microsoft 365: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Yammer
  • Microsoft Teams Suite: Teams, Planner, Stream, Forms, Viva
  • Power BI Pro
  • SharePoint: On-premises and online, and third-party tools (e.g., web parts, workflow engines, and content migrators)
  • OneDrive
  • Power Automate and PowerApps
  • Web calls to other enterprise applications (e.g.CRM and ITSM)
  • Design, configure, and maintain business process workflows.
  • Generate and maintain MS solutions operating procedures and dataflow diagrams.
  • Interact with vendor(s) for system and application upgrades and problem resolution.
  • Assist with vendor analysis, approval, and implementation.
  • Develop design documentation, project plans and test procedures for the installation and upgrade of hardware and software.
  • Support data retention policy by managing retention configurations and backups.
  • Maintain basic to intermediate architectural awareness of application layers (UI, shared core services, external interfaces, data services, etc.).
  • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging technology.
  • Ability and willingness to work off-hours and to be on call for emergencies.
  • Complete other duties, as assigned.
