About The Position

Mid-level Electrical M&PT Process and Standards Component Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing STL is looking for a Mid-level BDE Electrical M&PT Process and Standards Component Engineer to join the team in Berkeley, MO. Position Responsibilities: Applies engineering knowledge of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components in evaluation of components for assembly and subassembly repair/design. Directly supports Sub-contractors and Suppliers to ensure their electronic components are qualified for Boeing usage per the contract and the Parts Management Plan. Work regularly with a harsh environment/high reliability design environment, supporting aerospace industrial design/application definition and test. Regularly support tasking involving complex connectors, wires, and cables, including the fabrication of cables/bundles, installation of cables/harnesses, etc. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Significant experience with a harsh environment/high reliability design environment, including previous aerospace, medical device, automotive, or industrial design/application experience.
  • Electrical design and/or Test experience with electrical components, wiring harnesses, connectors and cables.
  • Specific experience in any military aerospace discipline, either as a defense contractor or as former military, especially in Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).
  • Specific experience with military electronics, directly related to one of our electrical disciplines (i.e. components, wire/cables, installation processes, etc.).
  • Specific and extensive experience with the electrical mil specs and aerospace industry specs that are relevant to our day to day.
  • Deep experience/insight with wiring design, cables, connectors, etc. (Someone who worked in a position where this was a key element of their primary responsibilities for 5+ years.)
  • Understanding of Aircraft and Weapons design/requirements to recommend the correct Alternate electrical components for new product development and legacy programs
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.
  • “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
