About The Position

ATI has a current need for a full-time Mid-Level Hazmat Manager. This role involves working in secure environments in support of mission-critical operations. Requirements

  • Candidates must be US citizens and must be eligible to obtain and maintain clearance
  • Candidate must be able to work independently in a secure or sensitive environment
  • A Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or higher from an accredited university; Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Hygiene majors preferred
  • A strong grasp of toxicology, hydrology, and thermodynamics
  • At least 4 years of relevant, professional-level experience preferred
  • Work experience should involve the "lifecycle" of hazardous materials, including; Identifying and classifying hazardous substances; Developing spill response and emergency plans; Conducting site investigations or remediation; and Managing regulatory compliance (EPA, OSHA, DOT).
  • Must hold a CHMM certification
  • Must have experience with RCRA, TSCA, EPCRA, OSHA CFR 1910.120, OSHA Hazard communication, and DOT regulations
  • Ability to spot inconsistencies, errors, or missing information quickly and accurately
  • Organized and methodical in managing tasks, ensuring all steps are completed without oversight
  • Crisis management experience/skills
  • Ability to translate complex scientific data into actionable safety instructions for non-technical staff

  • 40-hr HAZWOPER, CGDP certifications preferred
