About The Position

Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist to join the team in San Antonio, TX. This individual will work with both senior and junior staff members to administer and implement United States (US) Industrial Security Standards as outlined in the National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM), the Department of Defense (DoD) Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Administrative Security Manual, Special Access Program (SAP) Security rules and/or other authoritative sources of security regulations. As an individual contributor, this individual will ensure programmatic security posture is compliant with all applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in personnel security
  • 3+ years of experience working with MS Office Suite, such as Word, Excel and MS Project
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent work or military experience
  • Experience in Industrial Security
  • Experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives in the Defense or Aerospace environment
  • Experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Special Access Program (SAP), and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
  • Experience communicating with internal and external customers

Responsibilities

  • Executes the personnel security lifecycle including initiating and tracking background investigations, reviewing adjudication findings, granting or revoking physical and logical access, maintaining secure personnel records, and ensuring timely re-investigations
  • Conducts assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action
  • Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs
  • Performs Personnel Security processes (works with databases, reviews files, conducts interviews, submittals to customers and schedules briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for customer and program requirements
  • Conducts security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
  • Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements
  • Performs Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements
  • Participates, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams
