Maximum Technology Corporation is a small business in Huntsville, AL. MTC that focuses on providing DoD customers with efficient, cost-effective and innovative solutions in data management, software engineering, system engineering, test and evaluation support, information technology, and information system security. We are searching for a Mid-Level System Engineer to provide technical expertise to guide, execute, and document formal requirements verification and performance testing on advanced command and control modeling systems. The selected candidates will participate in a broad array of integration and testing activities, in a hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) environment. Responsibilities: Supporting development of advanced command and control modeling systems, including scenario design and tactical interface emulation Operating and maintaining simulation products during integration, installing new software builds, working with SMEs in Huntsville on run analysis, and tool development Collaborating closely with program Technical Lead to maintain consistent test/analysis approaches and technical understanding, developing working relationships with leading engineers from other disciplines supporting model development to provide verification insight to their work; Participating in key processes including peer, gate, and test readiness reviews; Guiding and participating in the construction of analysis tools and processes for handling large data sets and resolving technical questions; Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Required skills): Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree (Master's) Systems engineering experience specifically including requirements development, system test, integration, verification and validation testing, or relatable experience Experience performing and executing test methodology within an HWIL or another simulation-based environment Excellent analytical capabilities, or an ability to relate complex behavior and observed phenomenon back to first principles and develop conclusions Experience with basic scripting and/or software development (Python preferred, MATLAB, Java/C++/C# also acceptable) Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience operating in a Linux-based environment Must be Security+ and Linux+ certified or have the ability to obtain certifications within 60 days of hire The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Preferred Qualifications (Desired skills): Experience with requirements test development, test analysis, integration, verification and test validation and statistical analysis processes MDS/C2BMC and previous experience in an operations center Experience with containerization, virtualization, Kubernetes orchestration, Helm chart development and deployment, RESTful API integration, and other technical solutions to maximize efficiency by balancing SW performance with available HW platforms Previous experience working with SSF, OSF, OSM (familiarity with TPY, SBX, Cobra Dane & UEWR sensors), EADSIM, JSAF, MDST, FOXSIM, BOA, C2BMC, GFC, or other real-time simulations. Familiarity with DIS, TCP, UDP, and Multicast Familiarity with VMF, TADIL-J, S-TADIL J, IBS, ADSI, CNIP, TDACS and other Tactical Data Links Network connectivity/troubleshooting knowledge and Information Assurance (procedures and patching) background a plus Experience as technical lead This position is contingent upon successful completion of a comprehensive criminal background check and government security investigation.
