About The Position

This role supports media events for new model releases and delivers vehicle-related technical assistance for product quality, engineering, and technical support. Responsibilities include investigating and validating warranty and test parts, performing repairs and maintenance on fleet and prototype vehicles, and supporting labor time study (LTS) activities through documentation and analysis.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3–5 years of experience as an automotive dealership technician or in a comparable bumper-to-bumper repair role.
  • Strong diagnostic and vehicle repair skills.
  • Ability to operate tools, service equipment, and advanced diagnostic instruments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; DMS experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
  • Lift a minimum of 50 lbs. without sustaining injury.
  • Normal office duties.
  • Work may require occasional overtime, weekend, and/or evening work.
  • You must be willing to travel up to 5%, typically single day trips etc. Some overnight trips may occur, sometimes including vehicle racetracks with noise levels.
  • This position involves driving company and customer vehicles.
  • Use equipment consistent with industry standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an Automotive Vocational Program preferred.
  • Additional technical training is a plus.
  • ASE certification preferred but not required.
  • First Aid/CPR Certified preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support media events for new model introductions and provide technical assistance related to vehicle quality, engineering, and service operations.
  • Investigate, inspect, and install warranty and test parts, including test driving vehicles to validate performance.
  • Validate current labor times for labor time guides and assist LTS Engineering Technicians, including written and video documentation of findings.
  • Assist Product and Accessory Quality Engineers with Labor Time Studies and ensure accurate self-documentation of all procedures.
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and PDI inspections on fleet vehicles, test vehicles, and new model prototypes.
  • Provide technical support for all vehicle quality improvement activities.
  • Review vehicle records, determine necessary repairs, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of recalls, service campaigns, and warranty repair procedures.
  • Create and maintain Repair Orders (ROs) for all work performed.
  • Order required parts and shop supplies for Engineering and fleet vehicle repairs.
  • Prepare vehicles for departmental needs such as VIP events, marketing activities, media functions, and special programs.
  • Provide technical support for Engineering and PR teams, including preparing vehicles for media introduction events.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Perform accurate daily recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager.
