About The Position
Berkeley Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Library Director to oversee all aspects of the Middle and Upper Division library programs and facilities, while fostering collaboration with the Lower Division Librarian. The successful candidate will curate resources, lead media and digital literacy initiatives, and collaborate with faculty and administrators to ensure the library's program aligns with the school's mission, curriculum, and goals. They will foster a creative, dynamic environment that empowers students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, and knowledgeable researchers.
Requirements
- Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution
- Demonstrated experience in library program management, faculty collaboration, and staff supervision.
- A background in information literacy instruction, collection development, and emerging information technologies is essential.
- Candidates must show a strong willingness to receive feedback regularly, grow professionally, and significantly contribute to the life of the school.
