About The Position

Notre Dame Preparatory School (NDP), a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for girls in grades 6 - 12 located in Towson, Maryland, seeks a full-time teacher in our Language Department for the 2026 - 2027 school year. This position will involve teaching sections of Middle Level and/or Upper Level Spanish. Grounded in Catholic teaching and inspired by the charism of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, we expect our employees to foster a culture in which students are encouraged to explore their passions, deepen their faith, and build lasting bonds of sisterhood. Annual dates for the 10-month position are August 16 th to June 15 th (as well as attending new employee orientation August 17, 18 & 19, 2026).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or related field required.
• A passion for teaching foreign language to middle and/or high school students.
• Ability to integrate technology effectively into instruction.
• A commitment to Notre Dame Preparatory School’s mission of academic excellence, spiritual growth, and practice of social justice.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of the Language Department and the NDP community.

Nice To Haves

• Masters degree in Education, Language or related field preferred
• Maryland State Teacher Certification and demonstrated expertise in the teaching of foreign language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish classes to Middle Level (Grades 6 – 8) and/or Upper Level (Grades 9 - 12).
• Work collaboratively with members of the Language D epartment on developing/improving curriculum.
• Participate in ongoing professional development.
• Participate in the school community with other duties as assigned, such as advisory.
