The Middle Office Analyst's efforts produce appropriate operational controls, supporting analytics, and issue resolution on contracts, trades, prices, and transaction details. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • At least three years of equivalent work experience in a similar position.
  • Experience with RightAngle, and/or the ability to learn systems quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships based on transparency and mutual respect, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office programs, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze contracts and appropriately model in the CTRM and associated systems.
  • Troubleshoot transaction exceptions to resolution. Continuously improving the set-up and resolution processes.
  • Review and validate counterparty confirmations to ensure trade accuracy and report any violations of the Risk Policy.
  • Maintain communication with traders, suppliers, customers, and accounting to facilitate smooth fuel procurement operations.
  • Analyze data to support middle office operations. Report metrics and make recommendations for courses of action.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
