Middle School Girls Head Basketball Coach
About The Position
Tipton R-VI School District is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Head Middle School Girls Basketball coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Essential Functions : Provide coaching and feedback to assist student-athletes in their personal development as a player and a student. Plan and schedule meaningful practices in season. Collaborate effectively with the athletic director in scheduling interscholastic contests. Recommend purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms. Maintain necessary attendance forms, insurance records, and eligibility records. Supervise activities related to practice and games. Ensure safe conditions of the facility or area in which the assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are present. Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times. Demonstrate effective human relations and communication skills. Follow all district rules, regulations, and policies.
Requirements
- Valid Missouri teaching certificate.
- Employment as a teacher in the Tipton R-VI School District : Candidates will be considered for open teaching positions in the district.
- Background clearance is required; the results of which must be satisfactory to the District.
- Some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling, and significant fine finger dexterity.
Nice To Haves
- Previous coaching experience in the assigned sport is preferred.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may deem appropriate.
