About The Position

Full-Time Middle School Math Teacher: American Heritage School is seeking a qualified Full-Time Middle School Math Teacher for the 2026–27 school year. This position provides the opportunity to support students in developing strong mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence while working within a rigorous, faith-based academic environment. Candidates should have a minimum of two years' teaching experience, preferably in a formal middle school setting. A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required. Applicants must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, a love of teaching and learning, and a desire to work in an educational atmosphere aligned with the values and teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Successful candidates will also exhibit strong communication and classroom management skills, professionalism, high energy, and a willingness to grow and improve as an educator. The Middle School Math Teacher will be responsible for preparing and delivering daily lesson plans, establishing and clearly communicating learning objectives, and using a variety of pedagogical methods to support diverse learning styles and abilities. Responsibilities include assessing student progress, maintaining accurate academic records, providing timely and constructive feedback, and creating a classroom environment that is respectful, structured, and academically engaging. The teacher will communicate regularly and professionally with parents, colleagues, and school administration. Faculty members are expected to participate in department meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events, and to collaborate effectively with colleagues in support of the school's mission. Candidates should be professional in appearance and demeanor and be willing and able to uphold and serve as ambassadors for the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement, on and off campus. Position available for the 2026–27 school year. In addition to the qualifications listed above, applicants are encouraged to include any interest in assisting with AHS extracurricular athletics programs. Please indicate any experience as a player or coach in specific sports. American Heritage School gives preference to employees who are qualified and interested in supporting extracurricular athletic programs.

Requirements
