About The Position

Middle School Science Educator The Out-of-Door Academy seeks a Middle School Science Educator to join a forward-thinking school that values creativity, real-world application, and student-centered learning. Responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Middle School, the Middle School Science Educator will be responsible for the following: Develop and implement Science courses, focusing primarily on creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and problem-based learning. Teach five (5) courses, including Science 7 (Biology). Fulfill the role of a Middle School Advisor and clubs supervisor. Closely collaborate with Middle School faculty to support students, faculty, and families across the division. Qualifications Experience, Skills & Knowledge Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Science, or a related field required; Master's Degree preferred. Demonstrated passion as an educator who employs current advances in education and can show demonstrated success with new pedagogy. Invest in making contributions beyond the classroom, such as advisory, clubs, and coaching. A successful track record of working effectively with a wide range of constituencies including students, faculty, staff and parents. Compensation and Benefits This is a 10-month full-time exempt position available in August 2026. Compensation is highly competitive and commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package. At Out-of-Door, we value a diverse workforce. Requirements
