About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team and partner with top-tier educators in a supportive environment for 6th and 7th-grade students. Position Overview: Partner with general education teachers in a co-taught middle school setting to provide specialized instruction and support for a caseload of approximately 20 students. Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to 6th and 7th-grade curricula, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for diverse learners. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs, utilizing IEP platform tools such as IEP Direct, to maintain data collection to track student growth, inform instructional adjustments, and provide comprehensive progress reports to the multidisciplinary team. Collaborate with general education partners, parents, and school administration to support student success and ensure all student accommodations and modifications are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Connecticut Comprehensive Special Education (165) endorsement for the middle school level (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience utilizing IEP data collection software such as IEP Direct or comparable systems (Preferred)
