About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Midwife to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. Opportunity Details: Provide antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, neonatal, interconceptional, and gynecological care. Plan and provide health care for women and individuals across the lifespan and newborn infants. Establish a complete database concerning the patient through history taking, physical examination, and ordering/interpreting appropriate laboratory data/tests. Provide guidance and education for patients and families concerning health maintenance, admission and discharge, labor management, and physical and emotional support. Manage labor and birth, including delivery of the newborn. Utilize medication and performs procedures. Provide immediate and the follow-up care of the newborn infant, including circumcision and ongoing assessment and follow-up with the postpartum family. Seek medical consultation, co-management, and/or referral for patients with medical, obstetric, or gynecologic co-morbidities. Provide contraceptive services and guidance. Evaluation and treatment for minor gynecological conditions.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $140,649 - $172,785 based on 40-hour work week and years of state licensure.
  • The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $154,713 - $190,063, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
