Make a difference as a Mill Laborer As a new Mill Laborer at Barrett Petfood, you can expect an engaging and dynamic work environment where every day is filled with hands-on tasks. Your daily responsibilities will include operating machinery, mixing ingredients, and ensuring that our production processes run smoothly. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the mill, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality expectations. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with your team to troubleshoot any issues that arise, participating in problem-solving discussions to improve processes. The position requires you to follow safety protocols and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting. Your scheduled work hours are Friday - Sunday, from 4 AM to 4 PM .

Responsibilities

  • Guide semi-trailer into designated area
  • Complete incoming and outbound inspection reports
  • Sample raw materials
  • Receive in raw materials
  • Inventory/cycle counts
  • Assist in dumping bulk totes
  • Ensure proper ingredient weights, materials, and labeling as required
  • Report, document, and repair any discrepancies found within your work area.
  • Clean equipment and facilities
