About The Position

JM Huber is seeking a Mill Operator at Active Minerals International, an Attapulgite Clay production facility in Quincy FL. Mill Operator: This position keeps process equipment running and producing efficiently while at the same time creating a product to meet product specifications. Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal.
  • Strong moral and ethical standards.
  • Must be able to work individually and in a team atmosphere.
  • Must be able to operate and forklift
  • Requires good eye-hand coordination and smooth, simultaneous hand and foot control.
  • General working knowledge of MSHA Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all mill systems to include all associated equipment and controls.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and correct problems with the mill systems.
  • Collect and prepare samples for the QC lab, if needed.
  • Perform QC duties and basic tests.
  • Blow out equipment filters and lubricate, as needed.
  • Operate conveying systems and dust collectors.
  • Maintain silo levels to allow for continuous operations of all loading areas.
  • Know and maintain product specifications.
  • Operate forklift, as needed.
  • Perform housekeeping around work area.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment at the beginning of each shift.
  • Adhere to all QMS procedures and documentation as applicable to position and department, and as required by ISO.
  • Other duties as assigned.
