About The Position

The Mineral & Land Acquisition Manager leads the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of mineral reserves and land assets to support MLC’s long‑term growth strategy. This role blends mineral resource development, land management, and commercial negotiation to secure and manage high‑value limestone reserves across multiple regions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, geology, real estate, engineering, land management, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in mineral resource acquisition, land management, or related roles
  • Working knowledge of real estate transactions, mining operations, environmental permitting, and mineral economics
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating leases, land purchases, and mineral rights agreements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects across regions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Willingness to travel up to 60%
  • Active real estate license or willingness to obtain within the first year

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in limestone, aggregates, or other industrial mineral sectors
  • Familiarity with GIS, mine planning tools, and land management software
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, synthesize, and present large datasets
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating cross‑functionally
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating with urgency

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop limestone mineral reserves to support long‑term business needs
  • Build and manage a pipeline of mineral and land acquisition opportunities, including leases, purchases, and other agreements
  • Negotiate surface and subsurface rights with landowners, government agencies, and strategic partners
  • Conduct due diligence, title research, and ownership verification for targeted properties
  • Collaborate with geology, operations, finance, and supply chain teams on feasibility studies, mine plans, and investment decisions
  • Develop long‑term mineral acquisition strategies and annual capital spending plans
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive landscapes, and regional resource trends
  • Support permitting, regulatory compliance, and community engagement efforts related to mine development
