About The Position

The Male Ministry Lead partners with the Salt Director in the areas of evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development of male college students and young adults at Drake University, Grand View, and DSM Metropolitan area. This role serves as a collaborative teaching voice for the ministry, a developer of male leadership, and a coach for male residents as they engage in on-campus evangelism and discipleship.

Responsibilities

• Staff member Lead out as a staff member by living out The Cottage Grove Code
• Assist other staff members in accomplishing the greater good of all ministry initiatives
• Support Raising Support raise $2,000 monthly in support
• Collaborative Teaching & Equipping (35%) Secondary Preaching: Partner with the Director on the annual teaching calendar, serving as a secondary voice for Salt Company DSM (preaching roughly 2-4 times a semester). This also includes participating in message prep meetings with the Staff to ensure a unified voice and theological alignment from the pulpit.
• Equipping Tracks: Collaborate with the Director & Associate Director to design and execute equipping tracks (e.g., Gospel 101, Late Nights, etc.) specifically targeting the development of male leaders.
• Male Leadership & Discipleship (35%) Leadership Development: Partner with the Director to identify and recruit high-capacity men, providing direct discipleship and coaching through a key student leader D-Group.
• Men’s Engagement & Community: Collaborate with the Director and AD to design intentional events that cultivate community and missional ambition among men.
• Resident Coaching & Campus Mobilization (30%) Ministry Coaching: Serve as the primary coach for Male Residents; observe "ministry reps" and provide developmental feedback to sharpen their skills in evangelism, discipleship, and campus outreach.
• Campus Presence: Collaborate with the Director and Residents to lead the "Front Line" male evangelistic strategy across Drake, Grand View, and the DSM Metro.
