As a Missile Performance Simulation Engineer you will work with a team of engineers in performing the following duties and functions: Missile system trajectory performance and functionality analyses using a variety of modeling and simulation methods. 3DOF and 6DOF Missile trajectory simulation and analysis (preflight and postflight). Maintenance and modernization of missile simulation software and supporting data set; writing or modifying software to support and perform specific analysis. Creating technical memos, providing input to data packages to support peer and customer reviews, and presenting analysis results to internal engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel during technical exchange meetings. Provide support to the missile simulation’s user base, working groups, for LM personnel and various non-LM FBM contractors.

Requirements

Experience working with various engineering disciplines
Desire learn and develop flight dynamics, trajectories, physics-based modeling, and time domain simulations
Programming experience in one or more of the following: MATLAB, Fortran, C/C++, Python
Active/Valid Secret Security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship require.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, physics or other related field.
Experience as a Systems Engineer or Aerospace Engineer
Knowledge of missile trajectory performance and subsystem inter-dependencies
Knowledge of 3 DOF and 6 DOF dynamics as they relate to aerospace vehicles
Experience programming in UNIX/LINUX operating system (O/S) environment
Knowledge of FORTRAN (or similar) is a plus
Programming experience (C/C++ or Similar)
Familiarity with STK, MBSE, Cameo, Agile process
Experience working in small to medium groups technical groups with little oversight
FBM program experience is a plus
Active Top Secret clearance
