About The Position

Mission Integration is a very high visibility role that is essential to the successful operation of the Mission Control Center (MCC) and the Engineering functions on the contract. The Mission Integration (MI) group ensures all MCC activities are planned, coordinated, and executed properly. In addition to the coordination of planned facility activities, MI is also the focal point for the coordination of MCC problems requiring engineering response and for the timely and effective communication of these issues to both MSOC and NASA management. The group develops, coordinates, and maintains the MCC work plan schedules and performs regular reviews with the Increment Lead Flight Director. This position provides support to real time operations and other systems where availability is required for mission success through 24x7 on call support. The MI integrates and presents readiness of the MCC and the MSOC contract to support specific Mission Events. This readiness is presented in the Flight Readiness Review to internal and external stakeholders. The MI supports Emergency Preparedness planning of the MCC facility, including support to external FOD and JSC groups responsible for management of the facility. In the event of a disaster or severe weather event, the MI provides real-time support to response and recovery activities.
