About The Position

Candidate will work as a developer for the Morgan Stanley Digital Client Services team, based out of Chicago. Candidate should be able to work in a dynamic environment with limited or no supervision and should be able to motivate junior team members. Should be comfortable and manage time working with global team on multiple initiatives. Design and implement features for a suite of Mobile Android Applications Learn and apply new technologies, best design practices and usability patterns Contribute to end-to-end system architecture, working with back-end engineers Optimizing performance for the app Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies Ability to integrate any backend system for web service integration Collaborate with product managers and other technical teams to create optimized and delightful user experiences

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• 5-7 years of software development experience
• 3-5 years Android experience building native apps
• Expert knowledge of Kotlin and Java
• Experience with the Android SDK
• Good understanding of the MVVM architectural pattern
• Experience with asynchronous programming using Kotlin coroutines/RxJava
• Understanding of reactive programming using LiveData and Flow
• Experience working with RESTful API type web services
• Knowledge of dependency injection using Dagger or Hilt
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design, principles, patterns, and best practices
• Understanding of source code control (experience with Git preferred)
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
• Comfortable working individually with minimal direction and on a larger development team
