About The Position

The Mobile Crisis Therapist provides immediate, on-site mental health assessments and interventions for individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies. The Mobile Crisis Therapist works closely with a Mobile Crisis Specialist and other team members to stabilize crises, develop safety plans, and connect individuals to appropriate services. In addition to direct crisis response, this position also focuses on building and maintaining collaborative relationships with local law enforcement agencies and community partners to support effective referral pathways and crisis intervention strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to behavioral health crises in the community, including homes, schools, medical settings, and public spaces.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, including risk evaluations for suicidality, homicidality, and grave disability.
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention and safety plans with individuals and families.
  • Provide clinical consultation and support to the Mobile Crisis Specialist during crisis responses.
  • Facilitate linkage and warm handoffs to outpatient services, inpatient care, or community resources as appropriate.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with agency policies and state regulations.
  • Develop and foster working relationships with local law enforcement agencies, EMS, hospitals, and community organizations to support effective crisis response and referral networks.
  • Attend multidisciplinary meetings and provide training or consultation to community partners when needed.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and professional development activities.
  • All other duties as assigned
