About The Position

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance JOB TITLE: Mobile Equipment Maintenance Tech REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor SHIFT DAYS /HOURS : (Mon-Fri) 1st Shift. Must be willing and able to work Mandatory OT on off days as necessary. STARTING PAY: $31.56 - $38.57 per hour , commensurate with experience and qualifications. A Mobile Equipment Technician inspects, maintains, and repairs heavy machinery (like bulldozers, cranes, tractors) and vehicles, diagnosing issues using diagnostic tools, performing preventive maintenance (lubrication, inspections), repairing or replacing worn parts (engines, hydraulics, electrical systems), and sometimes traveling to job sites for field repairs, all while keeping detailed logs and adhering to safety standards If you are a self-motivated, skilled professional who thrives in a challenging and rewarding environment, we want to hear from you! Requirements

  • Experience as a Maintenance Welder or similar role, preferably on the night shift.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Performs welding, lubrication, fueling, required preventive maintenance and field repair duties on all mobile equipment as assigned.
  • Identifies all mechanical components in need of repair to prevent mechanical breakdowns.
  • Recommends improvements as appropriate.
  • Operates and inspects vehicles and other mobile equipment to identify equipment defects, malfunctions and failures.
  • Repairs and replaces damaged and worn parts.
  • Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • These tasks are necessary to ensure smooth company operations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to determine root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform repairs and adjustments to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve maintenance processes and reduce potential issues.
  • Document maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
