About The Position

A mobile service automotive technician travels to customer locations to perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance using a fully equipped service vehicle. They handle oil changes, brake services, battery replacements, tire rotations, and software updates, focusing on efficiency, customer service, and independent problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Technical Proficiency: Proven experience as an automotive technician (e.g., ASE certifications are often preferred).
  • Diagnostic Skills: Ability to use diagnostic, computerized, and power tools to analyze and fix issues.
  • Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision in varied environments.
  • Requirements: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics, Repairs & Recalls: Perform diagnostic, repairs and recalls at customers location
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, oil changes, tire rotations, and battery checks.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate directly with customers regarding repair needs, provide cost estimates, and explain services in a non-technical manner.
  • Schedule Management: Efficiently manage daily travel routes and schedules to meet appointments on time.
  • Equipment & Documentation: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked mobile service vehicle. Accurately document services performed and parts used using computer systems.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe, clean work environment.
