About The Position

We are a Minnesota based family-owned business with our main location in Inver Grove Heights and have an opening for a 1st shift Mobile Trailer Mechanic / Technician for our Service Trucks in our Trailer Shop. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude; detail oriented; willing to jump in and help out where needed; clean driving record (CDL license preferred); and has a strong work ethic. This position handles the complete repair and general maintenance of semi-trailers, as well as, all other styles and sizes of trailers. Awarded Star Tribune’s Top Workplaces 6 years in a row. Requirements

Great work ethic

Technical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience a plus
Welding experience a plus
Basic tool set and tool box to start (assistance programs available)
Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently
Good written and verbal communication skills
Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker
Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly work environment
Honesty and respect

Responsibilities

Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
Perform repair and customization work as assigned including routine maintenance, brake replacement/repair, suspension repair, electrical and pneumatic and hydraulic component troubleshooting and repair, trailer body repair including complete trailer rebuild.
Provide after-sale services, such as component installation
Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers
