About The Position

As a Wound Care Technician, you will work under the supervision of a nurse practitioner and be responsible for direct patient care through the assessment, treatment, and management of wounds. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, willingness to travel and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of wound care principles and techniques.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Basic technology understanding required

Nice To Haves

• Certified Wound Specialist (CWS)/Certified Wound Care Associate (CWCA)/Certified Wound Care Technician (CWCT) is preferred.
• Previous experience in wound care or healthcare setting is preferred.
• wound care certification (Preferred)
• CMA Certification(Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Facilitate wound care visits for provider
• Report observable wound characteristics to the provider during the visit.
• Apply dressings and treatments per provider instruction.
• Implement provider-directed wound care plans.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
• Coordinate communication, supply needs and follow-up visit scheduling as directed.
