Requirements

  • BS 5-7, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2 (Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of relevant systems engineering experience, with demonstrated weapons and defense platform knowledge
  • Knowledge of existing weapons systems programs, weapons software architecture, and mission application for weapons systems
  • Experience implementing open systems standards, MOSA, WOSA, GCIA, across diverse platforms (ground, air, maritime, space, or joint systems).
  • Understanding of mission engineering concepts and their application to weapons/platforms and multi-domain operations.
  • Proficiency with MBSE tools and methodologies (e.g., Cameo, SAM, Rhapsody, SysML, UPDM/UAF).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and integrate weapons solutions and software into platform architectures using MBSE methodologies.
  • Develop and manage system requirements throughout the lifecycle, ensuring traceability, verification, and compliance with program objectives.
  • Provide expertise in open systems standards, mission engineering, software design, all as part of an integrated digital approach.
  • Apply mission engineering principles to optimize and analyze system and subsystem performance across diverse platforms and operational environments.
  • Collaborate with mission engineers, platform architects, and stakeholders to translate operational needs into executable system architectures and integrated technical solutions.
