We are looking to hire a talented and team-oriented Modeler/Data Scientist I to lead modeling efforts related to population-level spread of infectious diseases, specifically tuberculosis. This Data Scientist/Modeler will work with Dr. David Dowdy and the JHU Center for Tuberculosis Research at JHU on two projects that aim to forecast the population-level impact of TB vaccines and demand-generation interventions, respectively. This position is ideal for candidates looking to boost their academic productivity and reputation (e.g., through first-author manuscripts and collaborations with content experts) over a 1.5-year timeframe. The Data Scientist I will support the management of complex databases as well as develop, maintain, and document code. The Data Scientist will collect and extract data using a variety of data extraction tools and carry out data management, visualization, and analysis tasks.
