About The Position
Temp NOW HIRING: Mold Repair Technician New Berlin, Wisconsin | Plastics Manufacturing | Contract with potential Contract to Hire opportunity The Ace Consulting Group is partnering with one of our valued clients, a global plastics manufacturing company in New Berlin, Wisconsin, seeking an experienced Mold Repair Technician with strong injection molding and plastics tooling experience. This Mold Repair Technician role is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex injection molds, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This Mold Repair Technician position requires prior plastics injection molding experience and the ability to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot molds used in high-volume manufacturing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in mold repair, mold maintenance, or tooling repair in a plastics manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with injection molding tools and equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair injection molds and hot runner systems
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Experience working in ISO9001 or similar quality manufacturing environments preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform repair, maintenance, and preventative maintenance on injection molds used in plastics manufacturing
- Diagnose mold defects, troubleshoot tooling issues, and restore molds to production-ready condition
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble injection molding tools and components
- Work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete mold repairs
- Troubleshoot hot runner mold systems and other injection mold tooling components
- Replace or repair pumps, motors, relays, switches, and mold components as needed
- Coordinate with engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency
- Communicate with outside vendors regarding tooling repairs or specialized components
- Maintain safety standards and ensure molds and equipment meet operational requirements
