We are currently accepting applications for Mold Repair to join our molding facilities on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. Mold Repairs are responsible for all in-house die repairs; this includes polishing and bench work, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic repairs to tools and trim presses

Requirements

Four to Seven years of experience in the tool repair field preferred
Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics as they relate to tools.
Working knowledge of pneumatics.
Understanding of trim presses and ring presses.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Obtain hi-lo license and operate hi-lo safely.
Knowledge of the "Machinery Tool Room"
Working knowledge and trouble shooting skills in plastic injection molding tools.
Ability to polish tools
Ability to learn how to do insert changes

Responsibilities

Performs all in house die polishing and bench work.
Maintains a preventative maintenance program on all tools. Keeps a thorough and accurate history on each tool.
Performs electrical repairs on tools, such as wiring hot runners and repairing limit switches.
Completes required hydraulic repairs on tools.
Repairs trim presses and ring presses.
Works with engineering to institute engineering changes to tools.
Maintains good housekeeping in work area.
Provides training and guidance to technicians and die setters on simple tool repair.
Performs other tasks assigned by designated supervisor
