About The Position

Perform duties to remove and install molds and accessories. Clean molds as directed.

Responsibilities

• Document, log, and maintain records as required.
• Perform mold change as to securing rails, knockouts, etc., to press; hoist molds and fasten platens; realign platform and work station with press.
• Clean molds and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Use forklift, pulleys, and other lift equipment as necessary to move and position molds.
• Clean plastic molds, use ice blaster to clean moldovers and plastic molds; record on log.
• Maintain blasting equipment.
• Communicate with Supervisors regarding repairs to set-up equipment and scheduling of mold cleaning.
• Perform daily line check on rail systems and core bias.
• Organize and maintain mold storage area.
• Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition; exercise proper care and safety in the use of power tools, equipment and materials.
• Has the authority to stop the process if a safety or quality issue arises in order to inform supervision to make a decision.
