About The Position

As a Molding & Diaphragm Dept. (Lead Operator), you will be responsible for proficiency in all CRG I & II processes, this position requires proficiency in mold cleaning, installation and setup of machines as well as operating extruder. This position serves as the Lead of the ChemRG molding and diaphragm department. This role is based in Beacon, New York. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday (6:30am to 2:30pm) with overtime required on weekends per business needs. A day in the life of a Molding & Diaphragm Dept. (Lead Operator),), can look like: Lead daily production activities of all ChemRG staff Assists in performance management of all ChemRG staff Tests all safety devices/emergency stop buttons at the start of each shift Conducts safety audit of area at the start of each shift Completes Hoist Safety Checklist at the start of each shift Notifies Supervisor of any safety hazard found during shift Reviews production schedule and verifies expectations for the shift Prepares materials for production (unrolling, cutting, laying into plies, separating sheets, etc.) Cleans molds Installs molds for production Sets up and operates extruder Operates machine according to Standard Operating Procedures Shared accountabilities Assist in other areas assigned by management Participate in all company training initiatives assigned Maintain safe work environment Liaison with inter-company departments to ensure appropriate schedule attainment, availability of raw materials and quality standards are being met.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • High School Level Math Skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities
