About The Position

This position is responsible for daily activities of Molding Operators, including the training (TWI) of Molding personnel and performing verifications of startup inspections on the molding floor.

Requirements

  • Education equivalent to a high school diploma.
  • Five years of related work experience, with a minimum of two years in molding, one year of related leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • Ability to follow and give oral instructions.
  • Ability to learn about and remember key information about parts molded in the department.
  • Ability to determine when a part is or isn't in conformance and whether to run or shut down.
  • Good manual dexterity and the ability to perform manual tasks requiring some fine motor skills.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and human relation skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate the daily work activities of personnel and provide performance feedback to supervisor.
  • Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Helps coordinate the daily activities of Molding Operators, this includes training (TWI), performing verifications of startups inspections on the molding floor, and providing feedback to Operators.
  • Performs training responsibilities with Procedures, Startup Inspections, Molding Orientation Training, TWI Elements.
  • Ensures all materials, tooling, documentation and measurement equipment are available and accurate for production.
  • Ensures all documentation is properly completed and filed.
  • Ensures the following operational tasks are completed for Line clearance, Start-up dimensions, and Hourly inspections.
  • Communicates with Molding Operators, Technicians, other Leads, supervisor and management concerning work related and other matters.
  • Ensures that Good Manufacturing Practices are being complied with by confirming that all procedures and specifications are met.
  • Provides feedback to employees, assigns work and ensures the proper and efficient completion of assignments and processes.
  • In the supervisor’s absence, may provide work direction to employees.
  • Gives feedback and input to the Supervisor for the employee’s performance evaluation.
  • Determines when molded parts are/aren't in conformance and whether to run or shut down.
  • Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.
