About The Position

As a Molecular Application Specialist, you will have the unique opportunity to support both current and potential customers in the setup, installation, training, technical specifications, equipment, and troubleshooting of various real-time PCR instruments and assays. The Molecular Application Specialist will support clients virtually and become a trusted advisor while assisting laboratories that are start-up phases with new assays.

Requirements

• B.S. in Biology or related science field preferred
• 2+ years of experience with real-time PCR
• Strong knowledge of real-time PCR platforms
• Extremely organized and deliver final products timely
• Ability to manage additional tasks as assigned
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

Responsibilities

• Ability to understand molecular biology experiments while working with internal team members to support laboratories implementing new processes
• Manage multiple project timelines and interact with multiple customers in a week
• Effectively communicate with customers on training, project status, and data analysis
• Exhibit strong professionalism with customers and provide strong customer service
• Interact with customers at all levels including laboratory scientists, laboratory technicians, and laboratory directors
• Utilize and support various PCR testing platforms
• Analyze data, problem solve, and troubleshoot experiments
• Technical document writing and review
• Potential for travel up to 25%
• Work with senior leadership to ensure goals and objectives are achieved
