Job Summary: · Performs various activities regarding telemetry monitoring on patients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous nurse aid, monitor technician, emergency medical technician or patient technician experience is required.
- EMT, Telemetry and Monitor Tech required.
Responsibilities
- Maintains telemetry documentation of reported information.
- Maintains telemetry monitoring equipment and supply inventory.
- Makes note of irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat.
- Forwards changes to nurse and/or attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
- Comply with department/organization policies, procedures and practices to include timely reporting of changes in rhythm to appropriate designated leader of the unit/floor.
- Other Duties as assigned.
